The UARA is proud to announce the Sunoco Bearden Oil Chase to Bristol,

 Presented by

Aluminum Racing Products, Good/Year, Miller Welders and Hobart Equipment.

The UARA felt that the racers that support the series could use some added awards for mid season.

Sunoco, Bearden Oil, Aluminum Racing Products, Good/ear, Miller Welders and Hobart Equipment have stepped up to the plate.

The Sunoco Chase to Bristol will begin at Shenandoah with a five race program culminating at Bristol on August 11th.  Included in addition to Shenandoah in the chase are Coastal Plains, Dillon, and both Bristol events. The format of the chase will be that any driver that attempts to compete in all five events will be eligible for special awards at the August 11th event at Bristol.  All drivers wishing to compete for the special awards must register with UARA scoring officials as Chase contenders while they are at Shenandoah.

At the final race of the chase on August 11th, drivers who have attempted to run all of the chase events will be eligible for the special awards that have been posted. The awards will be based on the performance at the August 11th event at Bristol. The highest finishing driver in the chase regardless of race position will receive $2500.00; Second $1000.00; Third $750.00; Fourth $500.00 and Fifth $250.00.  These awards will be in addition to the regular pay for their official race finishing position.

Aluminum Racing Products will be giving a complete body less windows to someone in the chase via a draw. The draw will be by a representative   of Aluminum Racing Products.

Good/Year will give 4 tires to the sixth and 4 tires to seventh place chase finishers of the August 11th race.

Miller welder will give a wire welder to the chase contender with the worst luck.

Hobart Equipment will award the eight, ninth and tenth place finishers of the chase $250.00 per position.

The UARA is working to add to these awards.  The Chase to Bristol is designed to award the competitors that compete on a regular basis with the UARA.  “The UARA feels very fortunate to have such great sponsors to help support this program” said Harold Crook.

The UARA has started out with the best season yet with an average of 42 cars in the first 4 events and four different winners.

The Sunoco Chase to Bristol should see some great racing.
