Can It Be 7 for 7 at the Strutmasters.com 227

The UARA-STARS has a great season under way.  They head to Ace Speedway for the Strutmaster.com 227 this weekend. The winner of the Strutmasters.com 227 could be any of the starting field because the competition has been that close.  The STARS late models are running 150 laps along with the Pro Challenge 50 laps and Extremes 12 and 15 laps.

The competition is fierce and with six races under the belt there have been six different winners for the UARA-STARS.  Who will be the next winner? Maybe one of the season’s early winners will be able to repeat their success in finding victory lane?

Kevin Leicht who has won outside the series this year is pressing hard to get his machine in that elusive winners circle. Leicht is the only repeat pole winner this year.  Not only is he a repeat pole winner, he has been on the pole for the last three races in a row. Leicht definitely has the power to get that first win for 2007 with the UARA-STARS.  It is only a matter of time.

Alex Yontz who placed second in the 2006 Points battle has had problems in the beginning of the season but seems to have gotten things back to his liking.  Alex ran a strong 4th at our last race in Coastal Plains.  He appears to have his game going again and is looking to place that 55 machine in victory lane.  Yontz had three wins in 2006 and would surely like to repeat that feat if not top it.

Lucas Ransone has been showing some great power this year and is in hot pursuit of that first win in the UARA-STARS series.  Ransone has been very strong thus far but like Yontz has had difficulties along the way.  He had a great run at Coastal Plains did a 360 spin in the final laps and still brought home a fifth place finish.

Two past Champions will be on hand at Ace Speedway trying to place their cars in the winner’s circle as well.  2003 Champion Lee Tissot who is a regular with the UARA this year.  Tissot had 4 top ten finishes so far in 2007. 2004 Champion Jason York will be on hand at Ace Speedway as well.

Melling Select Rookie contender Mikey Kile will be back at the races after taking a week off to accompany his wife who was expecting a child at any time. The birth of their son Peyton came June 20th.  We congratulate the Kiles on the new addition to their family.
