Text Box: With the uncertainty of the weather practice at Rockingham has been postponed until Tuesday the schedule will be the same Any team  wishing to park Monday the speedway will be open to park rigs and mount tires.     Text Box: The UARA has completed its revised 2009 schedule. The UARA is proud to announce that it is the first ever late model companion event to run at The Famed Bristol Motor Speedway with the Nationwide cars on March 21, 2009.  The UARA will run a 100 lap event at the conclusion of the Nationwide event followed by a special 50 event “The Saturday Night Special” for past pros of Bristol driving cars wrapped like the vintage cars of the respective drivers-a memory lane flash back of sorts. “We are thrilled to have the chance to showcase our drivers and series in front of the Bristol Crowd” said UARA President Kerry Bodenhamer.  This event will give the UARA drivers a chance to showcase their talent in front of the largest crowd they have ever competed in front of.  “We would like to thank Jeff Byrd Bristol Speedway President, Wayne Estes - Marketing Coordinator and NASCAR for allowing us the opportunity to compete at this event” said Kerry Bodenhamer Due to the logistics of this event the only participants that will be allowed to qualify at Bristol will be the top 20 car owners in 2008 UARA points, any team that attempts to qualify and race in the first event at Hickory Motor Speedway on March 14, 2009 or teams furnishing a car for the 50 lap pro race.
